LEHA ROGOVIN
1900(?) - 1942
Leha was very talented in handicraft, needlework and other fancy work. She had scarlet fever when she was a child and she had problems with hearing and speech because of it.
In 1996, when my parents and I visited Vishnive, we met Mrs. Maria Yorkelevitch (Badjek). She is a gentile who was neighbors with the Rogovin family (Rogovin house is in the picture). She claimed that in 1942, her family tried to hide Leha from the Nazis. Leha stayed in a closet but she could not take it for long and subsequently went to the Jewish ghetto. She was murdered on August 30, 1942.
