Shlomo, my grandfather's oldest brother, lived with his wife Sonya and their two sons Avremale and Leale in Vilejka. He was the owner of the Vilejka hotel and had a store for spare car parts.

During World War II, Shlomo and Sonya sent their children, Avremle and Leale, to a gentile family for protection. Shlomo and Sonya went to hide in the forest, joining the partisans. Both of them were killed in the war. No one knows what happened to the two children.
